During the pandemic, Brett Snyder of Cranky Flier started covering the rapidly-changing world of airline scheduling and network planning. By August 2020 this has become a regular soap opera entitled “Skeds of Air Lines.” (You get it, like sands through the hourglass….)

Soon after, he and Courtney Miller of Visual Approach Analytics got together to put out a more detailed report that would provide much more insight into data, trends, and details for the industry. The very first Cranky US Airline Network Report — you can read it to see how far we’ve come — was created on October 2, 2020 and it was off to the races.
In 2021, Brett and Courtney hosted the first ever Cranky Network Awards to showcase the best in airline network planning.

That was a virtual event, but it has been held in person every year since, and it has grown into what is now the only must-attend network planning event in the world*

Today, Cranky Network Weekly is published 48 Sundays a year, excluding the winter holidays, the weekend after the Cranky Network Awards, and one other floating weekend. The Weekly covers schedule changes on any flight touching the US, Canada, and México. It is regularly read by all the large airline network planning departments and executives who need to stay in the loop on what is changing. It is also a very useful tool for analysts, consultants, investors, airports, and anyone else with a vested interest in what is happening in this industry.
