Cranky Network Awards 2023 – Attendee Information

We are looking forward to seeing you at the 2023 Cranky Network Awards, but before we see you there, you need to RSVP before January 20, 2023. You can do that at the bottom of this page once you read all the details below.

What

The third annual Cranky Network Awards were created to honor the best in airline network planning. We hand out awards at the ceremony, but this is no stuffy event. Awards range from Sexiest New Route to Most Improved Network.

This is a fun night where network planning teams get to laugh, relax, have some drinks, and celebrate their successes. And once it’s over, there’s an after-party so you can rub your victory in the faces of your competitors celebrate.

We pair this with a morning forecast breakfast the following day where Courtney Miller of Visual Approach leads an interactive discussion. We will also have at least one other airline executive speaking, but we can’t reveal those details yet.

Who

If we sent you the link to this page, we want you there. If you’d like to bring a bigger group, email cna@crankyflier.com so we can discuss table options.

On the other hand, if you found this page on your own, email us first at cna@crankyflier.com to see if you’ll be allowed beyond the velvet ropes.

When

The awards will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023. Cocktails start at 6pm with the program and dinner starting at 7:30pm (all times MST).

There will be after-party following the event so we don’t have to wedge ourselves into a lame bar that closes early. (If you were there last year, you know what we mean.)

There will be a forecast breakfast the following morning, and that will end before noon… but it won’t be so early that you think skipping the after-party is a good idea.

Where

The awards will be held at Events on Jackson at 245 E Jackson St, Phoenix, AZ 85004.

The after-party will be held at Melinda’s Alley, a speakeasy in the basement of the host hotel, the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown at 100 N 1st St, Phoenix, AZ 85004.

The forecast breakfast location will be in a room at the Renaissance.

Why

Because you and your team work very hard, and it’s nice to be recognized for that work. It’s also nice to visit Phoenix in February… spring training starts just after the forecast breakfast with the first two games that day… in case you were wondering.

How

How you get to Phoenix is up to you — though we hear driving or taking Amtrak is always a good option. As an invited guest, we will be happy to provide you with a room at the host hotel. Just let us know in the RSVP if you will need a room and we’ll get back to you to arrange it.
